The Hard Geek Café is a family-run coffee shop and boutique situated in the small town of Mios, near the beautiful Bassin d'Arcachon in South West France.
The concept is simple, when we moved back to France in 2022 we missed somewhere to take our children, Rose and Eric, that was family oriented, somewhere to just feel comfortable being ourselves and have fun either playing boardgames or generally having a coffee/hot chocolate break!
This coupled with my long term passion/obsession with all TCGs, especially Pokémon which I have been a fan of since its release in 1996 brought us to take the decision to open our store.
Talking of passions our next biggest one as a family is cooking! We look forward to offering a completely homemade menu using as much as possible local produces. We will offer an ever-changing menu respecting produces in season to bring the best possible flavours influenced by Great Britain, France and America. I am from Oxfordshire in the UK where I used to be a sous chef in a Michelin starred restaurant back in Oxford, this followed a position as a head chef in a successful restaurant In Arcachon. And now I can’t wait to cook for you!
